Code of Ethics

The Alliance Reiki Universel Inc., also refered to as the ARU, as an organization, aims to ensure the quality of the professional actions performed by its members.

Members of the Alliance Reiki Universel Inc. are governed by this CODE OF ETHICS. This code is intended to be a summary of the responsibilities of Reiki Master arising from their commitments to themselves, their colleagues, and their clients.

The Alliance Reiki Universel Inc. and its Board of Directors decline all liability and any possibility of legal action regarding their members in the event that a Reiki Master, member of the ARU, violates harm or prejudice to said person.

These values nurture the personal and professional lives of REIKI Masters, and they call for the following behavior:

A. Daily Mastery

A.1 I maintain cordial and respectful relations in all circumstances. I demonstrate openness, tact, and objectivity so that relationships are respectful and enriching.

A.2 I refrain from any criticism toward my colleagues, my clients, and healthcare professionals. I practice discretion regarding their professional and private lives.

A.3 I honor my commitments under all circumstances and assume responsibility for them in a spirit of joyful collaboration.

B. Spirit of the Association

B.1 As a Reiki Master, I commit to encouraging other Reiki Masters to join the association so they may benefit from the advantages offered by the ARU

B.2 I realize that every experience is an opportunity for personal growth.

B.3 I recognize the talents of each Master, knowing that they offer the best of themselves without judgment of conditions.

C. Responsability of the Therapist

C.1 I welcome my clients with respect, listen to them, and guide them with humility and discernment to make their own decisions.

C.2 I refrain from making diagnoses and avoid any promises of healing. I refer them to a healthcare professional when the situation requires it.

D. Respect for the Integrity of REIKI Teachings According to the Dr. Usui Method

D.1 As a new Teacher-Master of the ARU, before sharing the essence of Reiki, I recognize the importance of taking the time to integrate prepare myself by attending training sessions led by another A.R.U. Teacher-Master.

D.2 As a Reiki Teacher-Master of the ARU, I commit to preserving the initiation rituals and symbols completely intact.

D.3 I respect the established rates, the minimum duration of each workshop, as well as the integration time required between each level, as specified in the A.R.U. protocol.

D.4 I shall obtain from the association the educational material designed exclusively for Reiki Teacher-Master who are members of the ARU.
